Long-haul to Asia — pay up for the lie-flat seat or put it toward the trip?

For one big overnight leg where you land and go straight into things, the lie-flat can genuinely save a day. But 3x is steep — I'd look at premium economy first, or burn points on the long leg and fly economy on the short ones. If it's cash and the trip is 10+ days, I'd put it toward the trip.
